Games like Red Alert 2

I’ve been playing Red Alert 2 and Yuri’s Revenge daily for three years now. And while I love the games to death, I often ask myself  are there other games like Red Alert 2? I’ve done some research and here are a few games like Red Alert 2 I found interesting. The list, even though numbered, is in no particular order.

1. Forged Battalion

A game by the studio who did the latest C&C Remastered. In Forged Battalion you can customize your faction in a new take on real-time strategy. In this game you are not only a commander, but also an engineer. Therefore you have ultimate control over the design and function of your faction’s units, factories…

2. 8-Bit Armies

Another game from Petroglyph studios. 8-Bit Armies is a retro Real-Time Strategy game. With a colorful, blocky voxel art style, 8-Bit Armies is a fast-paced and accessible real time strategy game.

3. Zero-K

5. Supreme Commander

Supreme Commander is focused on using a giant bipedal mech called an Armored Command Unit (or ACU) to build a base, then upgrading units to reach higher technology tiers, and conquering opponents.

6. Act of Aggression
Act of Aggression – Reboot Edition brings the techno-thriller RTS game Act of Aggression to a higher level. The Reboot Edition offers a full gameplay overhaul in skirmish mode against the AI and in your multiplayer battles.

7. Grey Goo

Grey Goo is a real-time strategy (RTS) game that combines classic strategy mechanics and a balanced combat system with an emphasis on base-building. It puts you at the center of a tactical struggle for survival—and ultimately, control of Ecosystem 9.

Just to clarify, these are the games like Red Alert 2 I find interesting. I’ve only played three of them. But I plan to try them all out eventually.
