Red Alert 2 Rules.ini – Download it here!
Rules.ini is a configuration file from Red Alert 2. It allows you to make easy modifications to the game units, structures, factions, etc. Differing from the original game, Yuri’s Revenge Expansion pack uses a file called “rulesmd.ini”.
How to edit Red Alert 2 rules.ini?
The easiest way to edit both files is with NotePad++. NotePad++ is a free writing program. It allows you to write and edit code, which rules.ini basically is. Download Notepad++ from here and get started.
Where to find the file?
Both rule files should be located in your main installation folder on your computer:
C:\Westwood\RA2\
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm) II\RA2
However if you’re using the CNCnet client replaces rules.ini with spawner.xdp. Nevertheless that shouldn’t be an issue as you can edit it in the same way.
