Here is a mod that lets you play the Generals campaigns in Zero Hour. Some of the Generals missions are a straight port over from generals to ZH and some have been modified so they are not exactly the same as in original Generals. There is 1 entirely new map too. The Generals Challenge campaigns have also been modified so that all the generals get to play all the challenge maps, including theone for their own side.

To install, put the .BIG file in your Zero Hour program directory. It may or may not work with other mods depending on what they modify.

The USA/China/GLA campaigns will then start with the Generals missions. After the last Generals mission in each campaign the Zero Hour campaign missions for the same house will follow.

The USA campaign starts with the Training mission.

The GLA campaign includes a version of DeeTox, Deezire's re-make of the missing GLA mission 3 which you see in the GLA ending movie where the toxin truck sprays the market.

Some notes on campaign mission that have been modified:

GLA mission 5 against Icirlik air base has better GLA units. Also if you garrison the Chinese spy post you can call for Anthrax bomb.

China missions 4, 5, 6, and 7 have some modded units. China mission 7 is my highly modified version.

China mission 4, toxin refinery inside China's borders: Lotus can swim and climb and plant TNT and kill infantry.

China mission 5, carpet bombing the city, Lotus can defuse demo traps and plant bombs, China has improved units.
Supply trucks can be camoed and will then move faster. Nuke Migs can clear garrisons. The black napalm upgrade gives them more powerful nuke missiles.

China mission 6, destroying the train bridge, Lotus can plant TNT and bombs, you can use a carpet bomber on the mob's stadium once you have enough points.

China mission 7, final one of the Generals China campaign, it is a highly modified version. You can build super Lotus and and agent. Scud storm will launch when you have $5000 as usual. Look out for special buildings to garrison around the edges of the map. The GLA will use Zero Hour tactics and units.

USA mission 5/6 (called mission 5, but the map directory is named USA06), the dam bursting mission that starts with the UN negotiator getting killed. You get improved crusaders which have a machine gunner and so can take on infantry. I suggest you build a sniper and snipe the tunnel defenders at the bridge, then use the comanches to attack the tunnels, then move your tanks anbd rangers across and capture the GLA base except for the barracks and supply stash. Put snipers outside the barracks to promote them, and tech up with GLA structures, build a lot of black markets, and then a lot of scud storms, and fortify your northern border before you destroy or capture the last GLA buildings to trigger the dam busting and part 2 of the mission.

USA mission 6/7, against GLA and a rogue Chinese general, you still have the improved Crusaders, and the Chinese have given you a nuke mig strike power (replaces A-10 strike). I suggest you fuel air bomb the nuke silo, then send Burton over the cliff into the GLA base, near their arms dealer (shoot the fence on the ridge), have him blow up the buildings there to get promoted, then buy A10 strike level 2 and use it on the silo to kill it before it launches.
Also in this mission you get special Superweapon General patriot batteries. You can upgrade them with laser point defence drones, and they will spawn 4 infantry from the front of the structure (so point it in a good direction) to help protect them from terrorists. If these infantry die they will respawn after some time.

USA mission 7/8, final USA mission in Generals. This is my highly modified version featuring GLA human cannonball cannons stolen from the Khazakstan state circus, toxic crop dusters, and drones that can convert into laser turrets (build them with the button that has a Paladin picture). These laser turrets can help shoot down the scud storm missiles, and also the flying terrorists. In this mission avoid building more than one hero unit at a time because of a bug that will crash the game if you queue them. If you are building a hero unit in a barracks, do not queue anything eles from that barracks until the hero unit is finished.

Let me know if you find any more bugs in any of the missions.

I imported the voices and terrrain texture names that were removed from ZH and reinstated some civilian props that were removed from ZH like fountains and snowmen to make this work.

Note, a newer version of the mod is found in Post #6 below.

Some tactics i foudn useful when playing the Generals campaign missions in ZH:

America Training Mission:
Build 2 Avengers and put the pilots in them to promote them, each of them will then effectively block all stinger site missiles. Buy Paladin science and build 2-4 Paladins if you like. When you get to the entrance to the GLA mountain base, use the dozer to build a firebase below the cliff, near the bottom of the ramp that leads up to the GLA base, and force fire it on the ground beside the stinger site on the cliff top to destroy it. Do not build it too close to the stinger site as the Firebase cannon has a minimum attack range. When you have cleared out the GLA tunnel networks and the other stinger site and the GLA vehicles, pull back from the area and send 1 unit to attack the toxin factory. Once it is damaged by you 4 comanches will come and destroy it and any units in the area will be killed by the poison.

America Mission 1, Baghdad Iraq: How to avoid the first Scud Storm strike on the city
Pull your tanks back to near your base and repair them in the war factory. Do not approach the city. Meanwhile build 1 or 2 avengers, buy the capture buildings upgrade. Build 1 or 2 more chinoooks and have them harvest from different supply piles to increase the rate of money gathering. Air lift a couple of humvees full of rangers into the land at the back of the POW camp and rescue the pilots. Airlift the pilots back to your base and use them to promote the Avengers so they will be better at stopping stinger site missiles. Use 2 or 3 chinooks and air lift a team of humvees full of rangers and missile guys, and 1 or 2 avengers, into the back of the GLA base, behind the scud storm. Have them destroy the stinger site and the rebels near the scud storm. Put 1 humvee in a chinook and fly from the scud storm area to the left until it over-flies the line of scorpion tanks and tunnel networks. This will trigger the fuel air bomb on the tanks. Radar scan or use the chinook to find the group of technicals a bit to the left of that. Have a ranger capture the scud storm and select the scud storm as he does so, while shifting your camera view back to the technical group (or whereever else you want to scud storm). Immediately when the scud storm becomes yours, launch it at your chosen target area and enjoy the scene as the missiles hit as the mission ends.

More ideas for Generals mission strategies

GLA Mission 1, destroying the dam

Once the intro cut scene is over immediately select all technicals and have them run over the approaching horde of red guards, tell the tanks and bomb trucks to stop. Then use the technicals which have just machine guns to shoot the tank and dozer to death so they will produce salvage crates for you to upgrade the technicals or scorpions. Move your bomb trucks and technicals to your GLA base and load all the rebels into technicals and also a couple of workers.
Buy the capture buildings upgrade. Leave the bomb trucks at your base and drive the technicals back to the Chinese buildings and have the rebels capture 3 of them but leave 1 reactor for now. Have the workers repair the Chinese buildings and then build 2 tunnel networks facing the road to the Chinese buildings as some red guards and Battlemaster tanks will come from there.

Group the tunnel defenders from the tunnels and all the rebels together into 1 group and set them on guard beside, but not in front of the tunnel networks, so they will attack whatever attacks the tunnel networks. Leave a worker behind the tunnel networks to repair them. Put the tanks and technicals inside the tunnel network. If you like use the ChinaBarracks to build 5 tank hunters and send them to guard the tunnel network too (5 so that they get the horde bonus). Send 1 rebel to capture the last CHinese reactor to trigger the next cut scene where the briefing continues.

Once the cut scene ends your tunnel networks will have been attacked and maybe there will be some junk for your vehicles to salvage. Pop out some scorpion tanks from the tunnel to salvage the junk. Wait a while for the small Chinese attacks to come up the road to attaack your tunnels and use your infantry horde to deal with them. Meanwhile send 1 technical to the arms dealer to activate it and buy scorpion rockets for your tanks. Disguise the 3 bomb trucks as a Chinese vehicle. If you want to end the mission quickly, drive 1 bomb truck up to the left side of the dam via the side path and blow up the dam, or you can take your time and hunt down all the Chinese units first.

If you free the fishermen village from the Chinese speaker tower and then garrison the buildings there with tank hunters and tunnel defenders, you can kill all the Chinese tanks on the map by sending a technical to lure them back to the village. Build a tunnel network or two there too to repair damaged vehicles.

GLA mission 2: Gathering UN supply crates
As with other missions, there are many ways to do this. Here is one way that saves your units.
First keep your money less than $8000 to avoid triggering the next stage when the aircraft come. Then wall off all the entrance points to the map where the UN vehicles come from by building tunnel networks facing where they come from. try and build the networks beside civilian buildings and garrison them with rocket troops. Station workers behind the networks to keep repairing them. Soon you will accumilate vast seas of UN crates that bunch up at these choke points. Then when you want to finish the mission simply pop out some technicals and gather loads of crates. You will skip the next 2 stages when the American attacks become worse becuase you will immediately reach the goal.

GLA Mission 3 by DeeZire: Killing civilians in Zhambul
When you get control immediately send the toxin tractors over the bridge to the left to avoid being flamed by the dragon tank. Send 1 tractor along the road there to find the Palace and buy Anthrax Beta. You can also collect a money crate.

Next move the tractors back over the bridge, and then have them turn right on coming off the bridge, and head towards the bottom fo the map, killing any red guards they find along the way. At the bottom, move them onto the grass behind the houses and follow the river to the right till they see the prison camp. There is a group of red guards behind the house to the left of the prison camp. Kill them to prevent them hurting the prisoners when they are freed. Then have a tractor squirt the guard tower at the bottom of the prison camp and move it towards the camp to trigger the prisoners to revolt against the guards and become under your control.

Send 1 tractor over the bridge over the river near the prison camp to collect the money crates. Send the rest to the right to kill civilians and claim the command center.

Build workers, a supply stash, a barracks, and an arms dealer. Buy worker shoes from the barracks ASAP to maximise your cash from the supply pile, as cash is limited. Repair the damaged guard tower in the north of the prison camp and garrison it with rocket troops and 1 or 2 toxin rebels. Build 2 tunnel networks, one to the right and one to the left of that tower, to cover the approach roads. Build tunnel networks facing the approach roads along the north side of your base area too. Build 2 on either side of the building to the right of your command center and garrison that building. The Chinese will be attacking with dragon tanks, so try and build the tunnels just a bit nearer to where the tanks will come from (the approach roads) so that the tanks will hopefully attack the tunnels first before flaming your garrisoned buildings.

Send a couple of rebels to capture the tech buildings south of the river.

Build 3 terrorists and make them into car bombs. Build a couple of rocket buggies and put them in the tunnel network. Whenever you see any red dots on the radar, see if it includes vehicles and if so pop out the buggies to rocket them from afar before they reach your base.

Also build some marauder tanks and station them near the roads approaching your base. Upgrade them with toxin shells and with junk from vehicle kills when available.

Send a buggy to explore and find the toxin factory, then when there are no Chinese units near by, send the 3 car bombs, one by one, to blow up the toxin factory. Force fire them on the factory from afar and try and send them along a straight route so that they will build up speed and accelerate, this helps them avoid Chinese attacks on their attack run.

Once the factory is destroyed, and the poison from it has died down, send a buggy to explore further, north of the toxin factory, till it finds the supply warehouse at the back of the Chinese base and exposes a bit of the Chinese base. Drop the anthrax bomb on the back of the Chinese base to kill thier units as they are built. It will also destroy their supply trucks as the trucks come into the base, which will slow down their cash flow and make the Chinese attacks not come so fast.

When you can, buy the cash bounty power to get money for killing Chinese units. You can then kill the required amount of civilians by either using the anthrax bomb on crowds, or racing around with rocket buggies running them over.

If you want to prolong the mission, try not to kill too many civilians early on, and try and capture the Chinese base for an added challenge. One their units have dried up a bit, you can use buggies to clear the bunkers from one of the entrances and then send in a capture team, or maybe use bikers over the cliffs.

Here is the latest version of the mod, i have modified all the Generals missions so each one now has some new feature, so they are not exactly the same as in original Generals.

I still have not tested out the Generals challenge campaigns, where each general will get to play against himself in the second last mission before the Boss map.

Since Col Burton can kill infantry without them noticing, Lotus also can, but she does it by knocking them down (except in the China mission where you have to destroy the stinger sites in the snowy landscape, there she can stab them also, because if she runs over a terrorist it will explode. She can also bomb stinger sites with the TNT.).
